Coed and Girls Trips

Each summer participants travel to Chewonki from as close as Wiscasset, Maine, and from as far away as Tokyo, Japan. For youth programs Chewonki staff meet flights in Portland and Boston on the opening day of the first and second session of trips. Many participants arrive by car. We ask that 5-week trippers arrive by car or they may be met at the Portland, Maine, Jetport.

Wilderness Trippers travel by van with their wilderness trip leaders to the site of their drop-off for their specific trip. Some trips, such as Mistissini and George River venture farther north into Canada and may travel by train and float plane to reach their destination. These extra transportation costs are generally included in the tuition of for the trip
