Our Approach
Ecology Camp offers schools a science based program where students focus on field studies in ecology. Students and teachers live, work and learn together in small groups (10 to 12 students), sleeping in cabins and cooking meals together in the main campus area. Daily lessons in natural history, ecology and sustainability give the students an opportunity for placed based experiential learning. Evening activities include exploration of the night, astronomy, live animal presentations, and environmental issues.

What to Expect
A full-time Chewonki instructor and a school chaperone (teacher or parent) live alongside each student group throughout the program. Students take turns with the responsibilities of living together in a small community, cooking meals and cleaning their cabins with their adult leaders.
