Sea kayaking in the Everglades, camping on Georgia’s Cumberland Island, ski touring in Quebec’s Gaspe Provincial Park, and canoeing in Labrador are additional possibilities offered by Chewonki! Our staff naturalists and leaders have a broad base of expertise and are familiar with many regions of the United States and Canada. We welcome the opportunity to design a special adventure that suits your particular needs.

Sample Itinerary:
Camping on Cumberland Island, Georgia


Day 1:

Chewonki picks up group at Jacksonville airport and drives to Crooked River State Park
Day 2:
Day trip to Okeefenokee National Wildlife Refuge
Day 3:
Take ferry to Cumberland Island. Set up camp and explore the dunes and beach
Day 4:
Day hike south on Cumberland Island to see historic ruins at Dungeness
Day 5:
Rent bikes for exploration north on Cumberland
Day 6:
Take ferry back to St. Mary’s and drive to Savannah (hotel)
Day 7:
Tour historic Savannah
Day 8:
Program wrap up and departure from Savannah airport.
