Compassion for one another, confidence in one's self, and stewardship for the natural world are the core goals of Chewonki's Outdoor Classroom Day, Overnight, and Wilderness Trip programs for schools. Our unique educational experiences offer students and teachers the opportunity to immerse themselves in nature while having fun and learning. Programs are designed to enhance classroom curriculum and meet the specific needs of each particular group.

DIRECTOR WELCOME

katieT Each year our instructors greet thousands of students who come from schools throughout the North East to live in and learn from the out-of-doors. Our magical 400-acre campus is home to native wildlife, pristine campsites, a working organic farm, buildings that model the latest in sustainability, and miles of stunning, undeveloped shoreline. We welcome the opportunity to host your class - let's go outside!

Chewonki provided our kids with what we came to experience –
the strength to trust ourselves
and a belief in each other.
