Most of our programs are designed to last about one hour, unless otherwise noted. Because programs involve group participation with hands-on specimens, we set a maximum of 30 students per presentation, unless otherwise noted. Smaller groups are recommended for some presentations, especially those for younger students. Space needs may be determined by group size. Some programs can be moved from room to room, whereas others need to be set up in a central location for the day.

OUR PRICES:

  • One presentation: $135
  • Two presentations (same day): $240
  • Three presentations (same day): $350
  • Four presentations (same day): $427
  • Additional presentations (same day): $100
  • Weekend presentations (including Friday evenings):add $50
  • Custom presentations: add $50

Transportation. We charge 49 cents per mile round-trip from Wiscasset, Maine.

Out-of-state programs. An additional cost of $25–$75, depending on the program, may be added for import and exhibit permits.

If these programs do not meet your needs, we are happy to customize a program that works for you. An additional fee of $50 will apply.

We have a limited amount of scholarship funds available for this school year. Schools, libraries, and parent groups are encouraged to seek funding through businesses and associations, such as a local bank or Rotary, which are often willing to sponsor presentations in their area.

Do you still have questions? If so, feel free to email Anna Hunt, Director of Chewonki's Traveling Natural History programs.
