At Chewonki, we realize that the junior year is critical in the college application process.  To assist our students in planning for their college careers, we host a college day each spring semester.  On that day, we are joined by college counselors from some of our member schools as well as from local high schools who help our students compile college lists and begin thinking about the next step in their college search.  Additionally, each semester students typically visit area colleges such as Bates, Bowdoin and Colby through visits organized by Chewonki faculty and staff. Many students use their vacations to visit other New England Colleges as well (see calendar).
