Camp Chewonki for Girls is a wilderness-based summer camp exquisitely situated on Fourth Debsconeag Lake in the heart of Maine’s North Woods, surrounded by 90,000 acres of conservation lands owned by the state and The Nature Conservancy, and just 12 miles south as the crow flies from the West Branch of the Penobscot River and Chewonki's Big Eddy Campground.
Situated within the Debsconeag Lakes Wilderness Area, the location is part of a vast protected wilderness that lies between Greenville and Millinocket.
The camp itself sits on a beautiful, protected, wooded shoreline that provides privacy, abundant wildlife, and endless opportunities for exploration, discovery, and fun!
