The Center for Environmental Education is available throughout the year for facility rental. Chewonki prefers to host like-minded organizations whose goals support Chewonki’s mission. We regret that we can not host weddings.

Spaces Available:

Chapin Hall. Beautiful two-story hall with Fin Whale Skeleton suspended above. Seating for 150 theater-style. Balcony. Large screen for presentations. This space can be opened into two side classrooms.

Classrooms. Each of our four modern classroom has three tables with chairs for 20, a large white board, sink and lots of windows providing wonderful lighting. The floor plan is flexible and can be arranged for your needs.

Conference Room. Smaller than the classrooms, the conference room works best for most focused meetings. Chairs set up around large table space. White board with pull-down screen.

Front Porch. The entry way into the CEE is a comfortable covered porch. Many groups set up their welcome and registration right out here in Maine’s warmer seasons.

Large Deck. The west side of the CEE has a large open deck with benches. It’s a wonderful space to enjoy a picnic lunch or take a break from your meeting.

Catering. Chewonki has always been know for its delicious meals, cooked by our chefs using the best and often locally-grown ingredients. We can provide your event or meeting homemade goodies for coffee breaks or full meals. Vegetarian and or vegan options are available.
