Big Eddy is a spectacular property located
four hours to the north of our campus in Wiscasset. Considered a world-class site for Landlocked Salmon the area has been a destination for fishermen for at least 100 years.
The campground is located near Maine’s premier
wilderness, Baxter State Park, and the state’s highest mountain,
Katahdin. The land surrounding the campground is a vast sweep
of forest, dotted with lakes and ledge and cut by one of the
most fabled rivers in Maine, the West Branch of the Penobscot.
Big Eddy Campground is open to the public from mid-May to mid-October and takes reservations for cabins and camping throughout the year. Please click here learn more.
