In 2008, Chewonki became the proud new owner of Debsconeag Lake Wilderness Camps. The camps are exquisitely situated on Fourth Debsconeag Lake in the heart of Maine’s North Woods. Situated within the Debsconeag Lakes Wilderness Area, the camp is part of a vast protected wilderness that lies roughly between Greenville and Millinocket. The camp itself sits on a beautiful, protected, wooded shoreline that provides privacy, abundant wildlife, and endless opportunities for exploration, discovery, and fun!

Debsconeag Lake Wilderness Camps is situated on the site of Chewonki's new girls camp. The camp runs from June through August and is closed to business during that time. However, we invite guests to join us in the spring and fall sesasons.
