Chewonki's 10th annual Sustainable Energy Conference will take place on May 8, 2010 on the Chewonki campus. The day-long conference features experts and academic leaders in the field of sustainability and renewable energy, and will showcase the latest technologies and vendors from New England. 

The event features a host of different renewable technologies, including electric thermal storage, geothermal designs, solar heating, residential wind turbines, home energy audits, as well as a keynote introduction by David Littell, Commissioner of the Maine Department of Environmental Protection.

The conference is open to the public by reservation. Registration fee includes the workshops and keynote speaker, interactive exhibits, a tour of Chewonki's renewable energy systems, a continental breakfast, and a hearty lunch.

* Each registrant will choose two of the six workshops to attend - one in the morning, and one in the afternoon.
